Youth Ages 5-7: 45 minute sessions: 5:40-6:25PM

Youth Ages 8-12: 80 minute sessions: 6:35-7:55PM

$120 for 6 weeks, session 1

$20 for drop in rate, first one is free!

At Plymouth Wrestling Academy, we believe that youth wrestling helps prepare you for success in life. Our goal is to teach wrestling to youngsters ages 5 to 12 years old in southeast Michigan. We create a fun and captivating environment with three main goals:

1) Grow the sport of wrestling, build community, and keep kids striving for success on and off the mats.

2) Build a solid foundation of mental toughness emphasizing respect, gratitude, hard work, and resilience.

3) Build a strong technique-base that can be used at all levels of the wrestling.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE BELOW

All practices will be held at PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL wrestling room. 8400 Beck Road, Canton Township, Michigan 48187

  • Ages 5-7 years old: Monday and Thursday 5:40-6:25 PM

  • Ages 8-12 years old: Monday and Thursday 6:35-7:55PM

Head Coach and Founder: Hassen Berri

Family centered environment.
  • MHSAA two time all-state wrestler and division 1 Michigan state finalist in 2003

  • Former University of Michigan wrestler and varsity letter winner 2003-2006, all big-ten academic honors 2005-2006

  • Head wrestling coach for Dearborn high school since 2018

  • 2 years assistant coaching at Dearborn High school

  • Founder of the annual Dearborn middle school wrestling tournament

  • Currently a sports medicine physician for the University of Michigan Health System
